Jonathan is a Partner heading Wallbrook’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and human rights practice, in addition to overseeing the firm’s market entry and political risk work.
Jonathan is a recognized authority on the Middle East and Turkey, regularly advising investors, policymakers and non-profits on developments in the region. He is a sought-after speaker at business conferences and think tanks, and frequently comments in international print and broadcast media, including for the BBC, the Financial Times, CNBC, Reuters, the New York Times, Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal.
Prior to Wallbrook, Jonathan held positions at two other risk consultancies, including Stroz Friedberg in London. He began his career working in various roles on Capitol Hill, including working for Joe Biden, the former US vice president.
Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics. He speaks Turkish.
