Vadim Nikitin is a Wallbrook Partner and oversees the development of Wallbrook's financial crime consultancy and capacity building programme for financial institutions.
Vadim previously headed the Enhanced Due Diligence team at an international investment bank in London, where he was instrumental in conducting a remediation of high-risk client relationships following major regulatory action. Before that Vadim managed the Russia and sub-Saharan Africa desks at Stroz Friedberg in London. In that role, he led numerous investigations into the political exposure, source of wealth and integrity of prominent individuals and institutions.
A frequent media commentator on politics and corruption, Vadim has written for the New York Times, the Guardian and the London Review of Books. He holds a Bachelor's degree in government from Harvard University and a Master’s degree in sociology from the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. As well as his native Russian, Vadim speaks Italian.
